as same as assignment 1, i almost used pentool when doing this 2nd assignment. after placed the reference as template. i start drawing my tree using pentool.


1st step




when i want to put color to the main trunk of the tree, i used mesh tool and eyedropper tool


2nd step





for the others branches, the same technique that im used in 2nd step are applied for the this step
* used mesh tool and eyedrooper tool


3rd step



i used brush make the trunk structure

for the leaves..i just used direct selection tool

and then copy it



i put the leave that i make into symbols. double click the Symbol Sprayer Tool in the Toolbox and adjust the settings

I usually deselect each time I've released the mouse. i also tweak a bit by using the Symbol Shifter, Cruncher, Sizer, Spinner, Stainer, Screener or Styler Tool.






buttressed Metasequoia

when i browse to find a tree for my 2nd assignment..i was attracted to this kind of tree, named "buttressed Metasequoia"...at 1st when i look at this buttressed Metasequoia i just like its trunk and the brunch..but after read about the this redwood, i found that this tree is rare and This buttressed Metasequoia is an unusual and excellent specimen. this is the true image that i used for refference
